The initial courtyard area was fully demolished and reconstructed in 1992. Work on the plot was completed in 2003 and involved paving the entire courtyard and driveway and adding large ponds and horticultural elements. The exterior walls of the building were constructed from lime sand brick and covered in clinker brinks from the initial courtyard area, while the roof was covered in red curved interlocking clay roof tiles.
The plot, which is hidden from view, features an owner-occupied area of close to 15,000m² and a leased area of approx. 1900m². The property boasts a U-shaped courtyard construction that is typical of the German Lower Rhine region and is home to features such as an impressive array of old trees, orchards, a summerhouse and horse stalls.
